Lawson’s Andy Brown writing songs for One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne etc
Lawson frontman Andy Brown has revealed that he’s penned new songs for both One Direction and Union J.
The two X Factor groups are working on their new albums currently and are taking submissions for the records and Andy revealed that he’s hoping to have a tune or two included in Union J’s debut effort, or One Direction’s third album, which is set for release at the end of 2013.
1D previously confirmed that their follow up to ‘Take Me Home’ will be released before Christmas and will have a rockier and edgier feel.
Andy has been working hard on some numbers he thinks will fit the vibe and told The Daily Star:
“I’ve been writing for Union J and I’ve given music to One Direction. I sent a song to the Swedish guys who produced ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ so I have to wait and see if it makes the album.”
Yesterday it was confirmed that Scouting For Girls have also been submitting songs to 1D and frontman Roy Stride told Digital Spy:
“To get on a One Direction album – every single songwriter in the world wants to get on it – you’ve just got to write an absolutely amazing song. I don’t think about who it’s for, I’ve just got to write something that is amazing.”
1D’s new album won’t contain any collaborations with Gary Barlow though as he recently denied rumours that he’s been working with Harry Styles in New York.
