Leon Jackson Dropped From Record Label

Former X Factor winner Leon Jackson has been dropped by his record label after only one album.
Leon released his debut album last autumn and went on to sell only 130,000 copies. In contrast the series runner up Rhydian Roberts sold a whopping 500,000 copies of his classical record.
A source close to Simon Cowell told The Sun: “He thought the most talented person should have won. That was never Leon and what has happened since has proved him right. Leon’s a good lad, but he’s definitely not set the world alight.”
Leon said: “I had a great year and learned so much recording and releasing my album. Every artist knows these things can go either way.
“I’m really looking forward to my tour and doing more writing.”

He should not have won anyway it was only the young girls voting because they fancied him, unfortunately they did not buy the album though. I am not surprised he was dropped.
He could always follow Ray Quinn and do another reality shiow. There are so many of them now.

I thought he was hypnotically good. He has a great voice! That other guy was so fake!
I was really saddened to hear that Leon Jackson was dropped by his record label. He has a good singing vbice and has the potential of following in the mould of Michael Buble. The only negative comment I would make is that his personality does not always come over on television, but surely he could be given advice on how to project himself better. I hope he is given another chance by someone else. As far as his singing goes. Superb. I bought his album sometime ago and still play it and I’m 64 years old.
Leon if your out there – don’t let this stop you. You have good fans out there who appreciate your talent, your different, classy and have a great voice. I play your album all the time, it is well produced and most of all extremely well sung – you have come a long way – I hope this is not the last we see of you.
