Leon Jackson Wins X Factor: Rhydian Was Robbed!!!

I am gutted! I spent most of last night’s X Factor press event, telling all and sundry of the press world how much Leon Jackson failed to inspire me and how furious I would be if he won, of course in saying that I managed to jinx myself and set him up to take the X Factor crown!

In an ideal world Leon would have left the show first last night…..in fact in an ideal world X Factor’s most boring singer would have left in week two. But in the real world Same Difference were the first act voted off the show last night, and when the result emerged I had an awful sinking feeling about what was to come.

Leon Jackson was the first to sing the winners single, ‘If You Believe’, his version was distictly underwhelming, especially in comparison to Rhydian’s flawless performance.

However, the British public are suckers for a sob story, and a working class boy from the home of a single parent was just one tug on the heart strings too much. Leon walked away with the X Factor title, and Rhydian, shocked though he was, managed to appear fairly gracious in his loss.

As I sit here, gazing into my crystal ball, I predict that Leon’s career will go much the same way as the more talented Ray Quinn from last year’s show. One album, one single (maybe two if he’s lucky!) then an embarrassing journey into oblivion. I just hope he earns enough money in that time to buy his mother the house he has promised her!

I agree he will be a one hit wonder, Rhydian sang the last song much better, Leons version was boring and I definately would not buy it. He is an undeserving winner.

Im sick of reading these comments “rhydian was robbed” HE WAS NOT!!! Leon is very talented and i think u are all forgetting … rhydian is CLASSICALLY TRAINED Leon was not.

No Leon wasn’t trained. He learned to sing at a local karaoke….it was very obvious!!

It’s no longer about the talent, it’s about tribalism and the scottish will vote for someone simply because they’re scottish, regardless of how much talent they have (remember those two brothers in last years X Factor?). I think X Factor as a proper talent contest is finished now.

I think that apart from Rhydian, the quality of vocal talent this year was the pits. As for Leon winning, I am disgusted. His range is just one, and his vocal is shakey and nervous. I believe that future competition boobey prizes will be tickets to see Leon..
