In reality you make new friends so this must be what Leona means. Whilst your true friends that you have managed to keep are still at home you could always speak by email or skype or phone when worried, but you must admit it simply isn't the same as having them next to you. 'Sacrifice not the old for the new, who will be the first to turn from you, when you have no money in your pocket?' A little thought for today.
