X Factor winner Leona Lewis may have to face throat surgery to combat recurring bouts of tonsilitis.

‘Leona has been consulting top throat surgeons in Britain and America,’ reveals a source to The Sun.

‘She has been told she could need an operation to put an end to the problem for good. Any operations are scary.’

The news couldn’t have came at a worse time for Leona, as she is currently heavily promoting her debut single ‘Bleeding Love’ in America and trying to make an impact across the Atlantic.
