Former X Factor victor Leona Lewis has declared that she would “rather gouge out” her eyes than star in another reality TV show.

The Daily Star reports that Leona made her comments in response to being asked whether she’d ever consider starring in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

But it seems her friends love the show. Leona told the paper…

“I’d rather gouge my eyes out with toothpicks. My evil friends make me watch it just to hear me scream…

“It’s the most awful thing anyone could ever put themselves through.”

Leona also, rather surprisingly, blasted X Factor, saying that the show had become a “pantomime” and was “no longer about singing.”

She did however take time to acknowledge that she would consider a show such as Dancing On Ice.

“At least I’d learn a skill” she said.
