Former X Factor winner, Leona Lewis, will be battling with the winner of this years series for the Christmas number one single spot.

Leona is planning to release a cover of Snow Patrol’s Run – a track she originally sang on Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

Snow Patrol bassist Paul Wilson told The Daily Star: “Leona is covering Run and bringing it out just in time for Christmas.

“She’ll go head to head with the winner of the show and with us.

“We will also be vying for the No.1 spot – we’re planning on bringing out the second single from our album in the run-up to Christmas.”
