Little Mix delighted that X Factor 2012 auditions will be held in Newcastle

Little Mix are said to be delighted that X Factor bosses have decided to hold auditions for the X Factor in Newcastle this year.

The Tyne and Wear city in North East England will be host to judges from the ITV show later this year and Perrie Edwards’ mum Debbie Dufty thinks that after the success of Joe McElderry and Little Mix Geordies Perrie and Jade Thirlwall, it’s only right that bosses look for talent in the area.

She told The Shields Gazette:

“With three past winners coming from South Shields, it’s only right that they bring the auditions to the North East.

“The girls will be really pleased to hear that.”

The X Factor tour kicks off later this month and rehearsals have already started for the acts which have joined the lineup, however winning the series must have some perks, as the girl band are currently living it up during a luxury holiday to Barbados, before the concerts begin.

Debbie added:

“They are on holiday in Barbados at the moment ahead of the X Factor Live tour starting.”

It was revealed recently that plans to release Little Mix’s debut album this spring have been shelved and that SYCO and Simon Cowell now want to take a little more time over the new record. It is now expected to hit shelves during summer 2012.
