We were pretty concerned last December when we heard that Perrie Edwards was taking some time away from Little Mix because of problems with her voice.

The blonde beauty was advised by doctors to stop performing and singing for a month and was admitted to hospital for surgery on her tonsils, after repeated bouts of throat problems.

She rejoined the X Factor group last month and a few weeks later started on their nationwide tour. This week the singing steps up a notch as the band not only perform numerous concerts, but also promote their latest single ‘Change Your Life.’

Thankfully, her bandmate Jade Thirlwall says Perrie’s voice is better and stronger than ever and she’s not suffering any ill effects from her operation.

“She’s absolutely fine,” Jade told Digital Spy

“I would say that her voice is even better than before – it’s opened up a lot more.”

“It’s amazing, I don’t know how she does it.

Jade continued to praise her friend, adding:

“It sounds a bit clearer now, whereas it was a bit huskier before.”

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Zayn Malik is planning to woo Edwards massively this week, as they celebrate their first Valentines’ Day as a couple.

The pair have had a difficult few weeks, after he was accused of cheating on her last month but Malik has reportedly convinced Perrie that he didn’t stray and wants to thank her for sticking by him by spoiling her this Thursday.

A source told The Daily Star:

“Zayn is going to pull out all the stops. He could have just spent a fortune on an expensive present but that wouldn’t have been as effective.

“He has put a lot of planning and thought into the night and Perrie should be bowled over.

“He is upset and angry that his actions led to a girl claiming she had sex with him and the impact that had on Perrie and their relationship.

“Perrie now accepts he was set up but she is still very cross that he was so naive.”
