Louis Walsh’s accuser arrested for “false allegations”

The man who accused Louis Walsh of indecent assault is now himself being charged for allegedly making false accusations about the X Factor judge.

The unnamed 24-year-old man had claimed that 57-year-old Louis indecently assaulted him in toilets at a Dublin nightclub. He has now reportedly been taken to a local police station for questioning after the case was officially dropped yesterday.

The Irish Times newspaper states that the man has been arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, on suspicion of making a false statement of complaint to police in which the allegations against Walsh were made.

In a statement issued yesterday, Louis said he would be seeking “total and absolute vindication” for the stress the ordeal has caused him.
He said, “I have no intention of letting this matter rest until I have received total and absolute vindication.

“This has been a hugely distressing time for me but I would like to thank all my friends and colleagues for their support.

“I am now just looking forward to getting back to work.”

Louis is expected to return to ‘The X Factor’ auditions in Cardiff today.
