Louis Walsh has compared X Factor judge Cheryl Cole to pop icon, Kylie Minogue.

In an interview with Love It Louis said that Cheryl’s solo career will be a massive success.

I actually think she’s the new Kylie. There’s no doubt about it, Cheryl will be a huge popstar when she releases her solo album,” he explained.

“Her career is only just starting and she will be the most successful member of Girls Aloud. There’s no way she’ll be having babies for quite some time yet.

Walsh added that Cheryl is one of the best judges he has ever worked with saying:

I’m not surprised she’s an icon now. People love Cheryl because she can identify with her fans, she’s got the right attitude, she likes people, she’s sympathetic and she’s fun,” he commented. “Cheryl’s definitely worth every penny she earns and she’s living proof talent shows like X Factor can work if judges choose the right people.

She’s also one of the best judges I’ve ever worked with because she’s honest and she just gets it, she knows so much about music and the charts and she’s got an opinion on everything.
