We know you were worried when Louis threatened never to do the X Factor again, so we wanted to be among the first to tell you that you can relax and stop worrying, Louis is doing at least one more series.
Although Louis threatened to walk out during this series of X Factor and hinted he wouldn’t return for next year’s, he has now revealed that seeing his charge Shayne Ward win the show has changed his mind. Louis said: “I’m going to do the third series of X Factor. I may even do the fourth series if they’re really nice to me!”
He evn expressed his deep love for fellow judge Simon Cowell saying “Me and Simon work really really well together - we’ve never had any major rows. We’ve sold more than 32 million records with Westlife, and if we can do the same with Shayne I’ll be happy. We’re both very opinionated people, but he knows a good song when he hears one and is very good at his job. I love working with him - I just wish there were a few more Simon Cowells in the music business.”
There may be cynics amongst us who think Louis’ walk out and row with the other judges was a well timed publicity stunt in order to lift falling ratings and gain higher viewing figures than the BBC rival show Strictly Come Dancing. But that couldn’t be, I mean the lovely Louis wouldn’t be that underhand….would he?
