Finally! Something Unreality TV can agree with Louis Walsh on! We have constantly berated the use of sob stories by X factor producers this year and it seems as though some of the judges are getting fed up with the sympathy stories too.

Asked to name this year’s worst change in the X factor show, Louis Walsh told The Mirror: “The public has been going for these sob stories and the acts go for the sympathy vote. There were far too many sob stories and far too much crying in this series. This is supposed to be a talent show, not Jeremy Kyle.

“With Same Difference it was crying not the singing that has got them in the final. This has to change.”

Funny how he didn’t seem to mind the sympathy vote when he was harping on about Niki’s dad week after week though. Hypocritical Louis? Never!
