X Factor judge Louis Walsh has tried to save face by claiming that he wouldn’t take part in Simon Cowell’s American version of the show, even if he was asked.

“I’ve got enough on,” he told The Mirror. “Listen, I haven’t even been asked, but I’m a manager first and foremost and I love doing that.”

On the show’s potential in the States Louis added:

“I think The X Factor would be the biggest show on television anywhere,” he said. “I think if Simon [Cowell]‘s involved it will be. He wants to be the best, he wants to be the biggest, and he will be.”
