Louis Walsh last week walked out of the X Factor in a blaze of glory and returned with his tail between his legs.

Upon return he was informed that he had been assigned a new dressing room, which just happened to be the smallest one they had!

It is thought that he was put in the tiny room in order to keep him as far away as possible from fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell.

An insider said: “Even Kate Thornton was put between them so Louis couldn’t have been further away. During the break between shows, Louis invited a crowd of friends into his dressing room.

“When Simon knocked on the door to speak to him, Louis declined to come out.”
