Louis Walsh Is Losing The Plot!

Louis Walsh is a world renowned manager. He has produced successful pop acts like Westlife, Boyzone and Girls Aloud (who should have disappeared years ago if life was fair!).

How then does he manage to come across as such an idiot when mentoring and judging the X factor contestants?

He lost 2 of his acts through really poor choices, firstly he definately did not pick the most talented acts to go through to the live finals and secondly he then proceeded to choose really bad songs for said acts. Week after week he picked golden oldies which his young performers were not comfortable with and then proceeded to compare them to music legends from his youth eg Phillip Magee aka young Cliff Richard.

But this week was his worst moment yet. Anyone who watches the X Factor regularly knows that The Conway Sisters haven’t got much hope of winning the show. They are talented and they can sing, but they don’t grab your attention or touch your heart the way in which some other contestants do. Maria Lawson however was one of the most talented people not only on the show but according to Simon Cowell in the whole of the UK.

It should have been an easy choice for Mr Walsh. When I heard Maria was in the bottom two acts with the Conway Sisters I thought she was safe. But Louis decided that the competition is judged on the basis of who you know not what you know, so it was bye bye Maria!

My only hope is that Louis is slowly ruining his chances of being asked to judge the X Factor next year, instead I nominate Pete Waterman!

I agree that he does come accross as very juvenile at times, however I do pity him slightly, especially when nerves activate his rapid blinking disorder!

[...] Had Simon remained loyal to his act and voted for Chico to leave the show, Louis would have been left to decide on which of the two acts should leave. Considering the criticism Louis has received before when making this decision, its no wonder that Louis didn’t want to be put in this position once more. [...]
