Louis Walsh: Jedward are Sony’s “loss”

Louis Walsh has told Metro that dropping Jedward from their label is Sony’s “loss.”

It was reported yesterday that as soon as Sony dropped the controversial X Factor duo, Universal snapped them up.

Louis told the paper, “It’s Sony’s loss and Universal’s gain. F**k ‘em! Alarm bells started ringing when Sony signed them to the Arista label.

“I tried to call them the other day and no-one in the company knew who they were!”

Louis added that Universal are the label who count Cheryl Cole and Boyzone among their signings. He said, “They [Universal] are the same people behind Cheryl and Boyzone, and say the boys will be huge.

“The lads will easily make a million each out of this. I think we can make them big internationally.

“They are huge over here and still have a massive cult following on YouTube.”

Louis also revealed that he has a number of advertising deals lined up for the pair and added that their music career will be only a “small part” of their future careers.

Thank God for that then…
