Louis Walsh has claimed that Kelly Rowland will be on the list, when the X Factor USA judging lineup is revealed this week.

The Irish star is close friends with show boss Simon Cowell and even stood in for the music mogul as auditions when he was sick last year.

The pair worked together for years on the UK version of the show and also with boyband Westlife, who they both managed and it seems that Louis has some insider knowledge about Cowell’s new series.

The X Factor USA will kick off for it’s third season this week as it hosts auditions in Charleston and currently, Simon has two free spots to fill. He will definitely be joined by Demi Lovato, but is trying to replace L.A. Reid and britney Spears who stepped down earlier this year.

Kelly Rowland has been linked to the role by various media sources and Louis confirmed the reports in an interview with TV Now magazine this week. He said:

“I’ve heard Kelly Rowland [will be a judge]. She’s very good and of course she worked with Beyonce. ‘Sister B’ that’s what she used to call her.”

Louis worked with kelly when she judged on the UK show back in 2011 and it sounds like he’s a fan of the former Destiny’s Child star. He added:

“I think judges like Kelly Rowland are good. She started from nothing. She learned her craft. She can sing and dance.”

So who else will be at the judges’ table? Well Walsh seems pretty sure it will be another female and he jibed that Cheryl Cole should take Simon up on his offer, as she isn’t doing anything else.

“Kelly Rowland will be back and I think he’s gonna use three girls,” Louis said.

“Three girls and Simon. Simon, Kelly, Demi and another. I wouldn’t be surprised if he used Cheryl Cole. Is she doing anything else? It’s not like she’s making any records.”

Cheryl is currently taking a bit of a rest, after completing her own UK tour last year and then heading straight into work with her former girl group Girls Aloud. The ladies produced a new album and a sell out arena tour, which wrapped up in March of this year.

We wouldn’t exactly say she’s twiddling her thumbs Louis!
