Louis Walsh wasn’t being incredibly loyal to Kitty Brucknell in his recent interview with Dannii Minogue for MyDaily.co.uk, when he admitted that she doesn’t stand a chance of winning the X Factor this year.

The Irish star caught up with his former colleague in London this week and was chatting about who he thinks will triumph at the end of the current ITV series.

He told Dannii – who admitted she hasn’t watched any of the 2011 shows – he knows that he and his category – in which only Kitty remains – stand no chance of winning.

He laughed:

I’m not going to win, I’m definitely not going to win.

On who he is expecting to make the final, Louis added:

I think the final will be between a girl called Janet Devlin from Ireland, Marcus from Liverpool and a girl called Misha B. They are all very different, they are all new, they’ve all got something special. I think they’ve got star quality, they’ll be good recording artists, in different ways.

However, Louis did realise his mistake and told Danni that she would love Kitty if she was still judging on the show, because despite her ‘high maintenance’ behaviour, she can actually sing.

He explained:

She’s very different, she’s very complex but she’s very good. She’s high maintenance yeah but when I get her on stage she’s great. You would like her, because she’s a great, great singer.
