FURIOUS X Factor fans jammed ITV’s switchboard to complain about the show’s final line-up They were furious that judge Louis Walsh didn’t pick talented 16-year-olds James Bellamy and Trevor Hodgson for his final four.

And they were raging that Sharon Osbourne let maverick Chico Slimani through and left out Joanne Hindley, Haifa Kayali and Richie Glynn in the over 25s

Fellow judge Simon Cowell threw a strop earlier in the series when Sharon insisted the former Moroccan goat herder should go through – though she admitted he had the least singing talent.

More than 9.4 million tuned in on Saturday night to see the three judges pick four acts to take into the live studio round.

Last night, a show insider said: “You can’t please everyone. But no one expected quite such an extreme reaction from the public.

“Louis did not feel that Trevor or James were ready for the pressure of being thrust into the public eye.

“And as for Sharon – well, she obviously thinks that Chico does have the X Factor. We’ll soon see if she’s right.”

Yesterday reject Alexandra Burke, 17, blasted Louis.

She told GMTV: “I was really shocked when I got back in the room and realised all the 16 year-olds got kicked out.

“I just felt it should not have been open to 16-year-olds if they were all going to get kicked out”
