Lucie Jones seemed to enjoy X Factor bootcamp this year. Not only did she sail through round after round of the process but she also found romance along the way. Newspapers have today reported that she dated fellow bootcamper, Matt Burton, but split after he failed to make it through to the judges house’s round.

Matt told The People: “She’s a cracking girl.

She’s very pretty, she’s got a great voice and we had such a laugh.

“We were close. I miss her but we still talk.”

Matt admitted that he would love to get back with Lucie once the show ends. He said: “It’s true I don’t have a girlfriend at the moment and I do hope to see her again.

“But I don’t want to discuss our private time together. Lucie’s still in the competition and it’s very personal.”

A friend who was with Matt and Lucie at the camp said: “He still has deep feelings for her and I don’t think it’s over yet.

“They were so into each other. Lucie’s got a new boyfriend, but I think she and Matt will stay close.”
