Lucie Jones leaves The X Factor
A travesty!!!! Young Lucie Jones has been voted off The X Factor because Simon Cowell was too chicken to send John and Edward Grimes home.
Despite a cracking performance last night, Lucie found herself in the bottom two with John and Edward Grimes tonight. She sang, they mumbled, yet Simon Cowell decided to send the vote to deadlock and let the public decide. Why? Because he just can’t bear to lose column inches in the tabloids! Also, if J&E got voted out now Louis would have no acts left…..Simon had to realise that.
The X Factor may be Unreality TV’s favourite TV show of all time….but even we have to admit that it is losing credibility fast!

The x-factor has gone beyond a joke anyone with any sense can see thiss show is a fix and some people have been saying its the publics fault for not voting, but the votes dont count as the show is clearly fixed and proof is simon has been complaining weeek in week out that its a singing competition and john and edward shouldnt be there so why didnt he kick them out, simple answer, the shows FIXED. the x factor has lost its most promising singer in lucie. I am telling everybody right now to stop voting for people on the x factor as they dont count and you are just wasting your money and if the votes did count there is no way a girl like lucie would get the least votes. Congrats simon you have just lost thousands of viewers, i wish all the best to lucie and i hope she doesnt let this hold her back.

I know we so should, the x factor is such a fix, there is absolutely no way that Lucie got the least votes, she is amazing.

Lucie Jones lost the moment her mentor gave her an obscure song to sing. I had forgotten her song by the time the ads came up, thus her performance meant very little to me. Voters relate to the song as well as the singer. Had she have sung a well known song like, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, then she would still be in the competition.

you say the public should of voted for Lucie, of course the public voted for lucie the reason she went out is because the show is fixed. i mean if the public vote was real lucie who is a great singer and a genuinely nice girl would be getting the most votes week in week out and jedward the talentless prats would get none.

Voters in the UK should not vote for any of Simon’s Over 25’s and force him to vote off one of his singers.
Rachael and Lucie may not have won the show but both are better singers then either Lloyd or The Twins.

Even aside from the travesty which occured this evening, Simon clearly broke the rules on his own show. The rules, as they are explained to us, state that if the judges reach a deadlock over the result the public vote has the final say. However to have reached deadlock, Simon would have had to say that he wanted to send Lucie home in favour of Jedward. This he clearly didn’t do, he simply declined to vote which is not in the spirit of the contest and is an infrigement of the rules. The result should be discounted and Lucie should be allowed back. Shame on you Simon.
Not being a regular viewer of the X Factor since we don’t see the show in America, I still have enjoyed Lucie’s performances via the internet. But perhaps I’m not familiar with the rules of the show. With four judges, how is it a “deadlock” if only three of them cast their votes? Since Simon chose not to vote, two of the three judges who did vote chose to keep Lucie on the show. That sounds like a victory to me.
Simon did vote – for Jedward – in order to make it two votes each and send it to deadlock so that it was decided by public vote..
This is not a singing contest. This is a popularity show.
Simon knew that the boys could of won the contest. Lucie was a threat to his boys. Bottom line Lucie is #1
bottom line Simon should of made the right decision. He has lost my respect.
What is the point in having judges if the decision is turned over to the public each week. What Simon did tonight was wholy wrong and he knows it. At least on strictly the head judge has the casting vote and is therefore required to make the decision. What Simon did is just wimping out. As a record producer he could clearly see that Lucie is brilliant. He obviously did not want her to threaten his chances of having all three final acts. Shame on you Simon.

Let me first say i hate X Factor, i mean really hate. Just amazes me how the always gets a number one garenteed and is the biggest fix ever. I was round a friend’s house the other day and i clocked a clip of her singing Sweet Child. So i looked looked her up on You Tube. This Lucie Jones is brilliant, I’ve seen those little Irish t**ts and can’t stand them. Heard alot of bad stuff about them. Saw them do the Ghostbusters song, erm were the judges watching the same song we were. I really hope this Lucie Jones does get a recording contract with someone other than Simon Cowell’s label (lets face it i bet he’ll try) and i hope she sticks it to him.
Simon has made a mockery of his own show by keeping the Twins in as he knows it keeps the viewers. Having said that, it is the British public who voted and clearly Lucie didn’t get the votes.this is why the judges vote, to save the better singer that the public didn’t keep in, yet we clearly preferred others toherwise she wouldn’t have been in the bottom. The twins are horrific, yet have so many fan clubs/fb groups etcn it is not a surprise that they’re still in it! Afro to win!
Disgraceful, fully agree with comments – what a farce.
It could be argued Lucie was voted off as she had the fewest viewer votes. But surely that’s why the judges have been given the overall say, so the best singers get the chance to stay in over terrible singers or the ones that are voted for due to their popularity – a complete joke Simon, not very funny -hope the last laugh is had on you.
Protest next Saturday – nobody vote or maybe the whole country should just switch channel when it starts.

I was so shocked that Lucie Jones left last night, I think that Simon bottled it- he went back on everything that he said about the twins nearly every week. Lucie performed well and Simon could have had his wish to get rid of Jedward but he sacrificed Lucie instead. Was it just to keep in Louis good books? The show is losing credibility in my opinion and I will not be watching it anymore. Bad move Simon!
I Don’t know what all the fuss is about…. Racheal Adedeji is also a very talented singer and she was voted out last year ad that didn’t cause an uproar…. it just goes to show that both singers are highly talented but that one is white whilt the other is black.

I’m following the show from the U.S, and I was completely shocked that Lucie got voted off. I thought that once the twins got to the bottom two, they were goners. Obviously, I was wrong.
I would have much rather seen Stacey or one of the overs get booted off. I kind of think that those four are over-rated, though Olly is growing on me..

ITV stop phone-in votes and find money elsewhere! What planet are u on? Can’t anyone see that the public vote by sympathy, not for the talent? You all know that runner-up Rhydian sold 6 times more records than winner Leon Jackson and I could go on with more arguments! Why was Coleen Nolan in the semi-finals in Dancing-on-Ice? Why did John Sergenat stay in Strictly until he felt he had to withdraw? Ppl simply don’t vote for the talent, come on let’s face it once and for all. Masterchef and The apprentice are not phone-in votes and they’re much better off

I think the onyl reason why Lucie was near the bottom in the first place is because Lloyd got the Welsh vote because he was in the bottom 2 last week and is not strong enough vocally.
then Stacey got told she was in trouble on Sayturday night, altough I thought she was great. This meant she got the girl fans vote.
So Lucie who did a great job got told she would be lthe last girl standing so probably received fewer votes becase peopel thought she was safe, then got sent packing.
I thought the whole point of the judges save was if such an event as last night happened.What’s the point if the do what they did.
I hope Lucie gets a great career because she has just been robbed of one compeltely unfairly.

you’re so right! Ppl not only thought she was safe but also voted for Lloyd out of sympathy, same for Danyl last week after his pig ugly performance. Lucie will be signed by a competitor of Simon or go to the West-End, but she’ll be much better off without Simon Cowell who has become so smug he is insane. He won’t see that ppl don’t back his acts because they’re good but because Jamie is such a nice guy and Danyl gets slated by the press.
I am in total agreement the whole show is a joke i really thought that the twins where goners once in the bottom two was pratically celebrating before they had done there song sadly was proven wrong. so not goin to be watching it from now on. on the comment about race rachel was not in the bottom two with John and Edward had she been there still would have the same reaction as she was a good singer and the twins are totally crap!!!
John & Edwards vocals are so poor they had to be supported by backing singers in the sing-off. Is that fair? Maybe they’ll let them mime next week!

This is simply about meglomaniac Scowle and his need to keep both himself and his pathetic little show in the limelight. Talent does not come into it, it’s all about feeding his already massively over inflated ego and bank balance – nothing more, nothing less.
I must add my voice to all the others devasted at losing lovely Lucie. It’s not a joke as other people have said. Jokes are funny. I normally agree with Simon’s comments however caustic, but this time he made a huge mistake. The show has lost all interest to me now and I will not be watching again

the arguement of the x factor being fixed comes up every year, byt this year simon has gone to far. simon knew fine well that lucie was going out because the public vote doesnt count simon probably has the whole show planned out already. he knows who will be goin out next week and he knows who the winner will be. This show is a clear fix, there is no way the public would have voted of one of the best talents to come onto the x factor over them horrors. Ofcom time to stand up to the mark and prove that the x factor once and for all is a fix.

Simon Cowell has no balls. He has shown that he really don’t care about the contestants at all, probably not even his own. He cares that HIS side wins though. I lost all respect for him.
Why even vote if the system is broken, confidence lost. Not voting would be the other way to get back at him aside from not watching the show at all. Voting against Simon would still put money in his pockets.
I am not saying this because my favorite dropped. If I have a favorite it would be someone in the Simons camp. This show just became ridiculous thats all. No votes from me.

Take some time and go check all the J & E twins acts before, pay attention to Simon´s reaction during the boys acts and to his opinion at the end of each act.

I reached the conclusion that Simon besides being wealthy, he´s also full of himself, prepotent, cynic, and a low gambler, i liked him and considered a lot his opinions, but now i feel kind of backstabbed, like may others.
Like “Pontius Pilate” he sent Lucie to “die” and washed off his hands of his responsibility and duty, in spite of knowing that the girl had tremendous potential and quality, she´s also a threat to his success (full of himself again) in what concerns his boys.
To me she has the entire popstar package, great singing, beautiful, great body, and great attitude like the one she demonstrated in this merciless unfair technical decision, even when she was put out of the game, she left with her face up, with a great attitude, like a great women.
Bottom line, public decides with votes, so maybe it´s the economic crisis, that makes people want something to laugh at, instead of hearing some good music.
So be it. Everybody should now vote for J & E against Simon boys, lets see if he likes to taste his own venom. The twins do the best they can, and there´s nothing to point on that, but they just can´t sing in tune and they can´t even synchronize their voices.
The best one to me is Olly Murs, and the one that has the best voice as an instrument given by nature, but he still doesn´t know what to do with it, and Cheryl also didn´t found yet the right song and style to his voice, is Lloyd Daniels, his voice is like a huge unshaped diamond.
Nice going Simon, i recommend a song to next saturday show:

I do hope Ofcom investigates whether that judge with a hair cut like a bog brush had advance knowledge of the numbers of votes cast before he decided to go to the public vote in the sing-off.

Jeward is in the wrong competition. I would support them if they enrolled in Britan’s Got Talent. X-Factor is a singing competition and I definately can’t bear listening to them sing. Such high standards Simon judges on the rest of the competing finalists. Why such leniency towards J&E. He should be ashamed of his contradictions. Boycott X-factor and refrain from voting. You can always watch it online if you can’t stay away. Everyone, get together and give Simon a taste of his medicine!!
