Many Fans Disappointed By The X Factor Tour!
If this article in the Scotsman is aything to go by, those of us who didn’t manage to get tickets for the X Factor tour aren’t missing much.
The journalist claims that runner up Nicholas Dorsett and Philip Magee “floundered in the spotlight”, while “an audible groan greeted the arrival of the Conway Sisters”
Even the finale with all 8 of the X Factor finalists failed to impress him and was described as “an anaemic, anticlimactic rendition of You’ve Got A Friend”
Thankfully though not everyone was a let down. Andy Abraham was described as “a class act, despite having to compete with two fake candelabras and an unintentionally comical interpretative dance routine during his version of Stevie Wonder’s Lately.”

I was at the x factor gig on 17.02.06 at Newcastle. What a fantastic gig!! i was dissapointed not all of the finalists were there (addictiv ladies, 4tune, chenai) but wow it was great. Chico got the gig off to a fab start with everyone on their feet…Nicholas did a superb performance of ‘lets get it on..’ I did feel a little sorry for the conway sisters as they did get some panto style jeering but that died down and they did get a fantatic response afer ‘raise me up’. Poor Philip only finished his first song and was talking to the crowd when his Mic was cut and brenda was introduced, obvioulsy a technical error but i felt really bad when he had to run off. Brenda and Andy…WOW! I would have paid just to see them!! As expected Journey South got a standing ovation from the north east crowd and they did their best performance ever infront of their home town crowd. As for Shayne… what a little sweetheart. He sang his heart out and looked genuinely amazed by the response by the crowd. Oh I forgot maria…What a babe! she looked amazing and proved what we all knew that she should never have been booted out of the competition so early..esopecially when she sang ‘Your beautiful’. I had a fantastic time and at 23 this was the best gig I’ve been to for years!!! 10 out of 10 to all involved!!
Thanks so much Danielle, obviously the guy at The Scotsman got it wrong! I wish I had a ticket to go now.

i thought it was great!
I went to the Newcastle gig 16th and 17th Feb 2006, I thought it was great too, especially The Conway Sisters, but then I’m a big fan!
