Mariah Carey & Susan Boyle prerecord X Factor performances
Neither Mariah Carey nor Susan Boyle will appear live on this weekend’s X Factor results show.
Mariah recorded her song during a trip to the UK last week and The Sun reports that Subo will film her guest appearance on Saturday afternoon.
The decision was reportedly made because Susan is due to fly out of the UK on Sunday morning in time for an appearance on NBC’s Today show at 6am on Monday.

Is Cowell afriad that she will freak out on a live show and start flashing her bits at Louis?
If she is going to be this global superstar that most deluded over 50`s believe then at the very least she should sing live…
They do not want to risk one note off-key. It has nothing do any more with a live tv singing competition. This is to stimulate CD sales. But I don’t buy it! (or her CD)
SuBo did sing live its just that it was recorded on the Saturday to be shown as part of Sundays show. She sang it twice & the first time had a croak in her voice halfway through … the second time that slight croak could still be heard in parts of the song compared to the first time.
