Matt Cardle makes X Factor final 12
Matt Cardle was seen advancing to the live shows, on tonight’s X Factor episode.
Things looked dodgy for the former painter and decorator, after he sang If I Were A Boy by Beyonce, for Dannii Minogue and Natalie Imbruglia at judges houses.
Following his performance, Dannii wondered if she had ruined his chances by giving him a terribly hard song. She told Imbruglia:
“I was hating myself for the first half of that cos I’m like did I give him the hardest, hardest, hardest, hardest, breaking song to sing? That was really, really tough.”
On tonight’s instalment she admitted that she worried about Cardle’s lack of confidence and connection with his audience. She told him:
“What concerns me is the connection. Natalie and I were both concerned throughout your performance, we just kept thinking “we want him to look at us!” You’ve got to look at your audience, they’ve come to see you!”
As the terror set into his eyes, Minogue then put Matt out of his misery and told him:
‘You’re in my top three.’

Looks like matt is the early favourite according to bookies. For me its a lay all day full bank job. Rebecca by far has the best voice & she going for the sympathy vote, although with Treyc Cohen getting the wildcard she will be right up there. My top 3 is 3rd Matt – 2nd Treyc – 1st Rebecca.. Poor Gamu never had a chance with her visa problems, she would of been my clear fav.
I love Matt, I think that he’s adorable when he goes into his own little world during his performances. One of the best voices there, with an amazing range! He’s just -Awwwwww ^_^ <3
Matt is amazing. I hope he wins. Cheryl is a crap and it shows her nasty racism that didn’t let Gamu go through. except Rebecca her two other acts suck.
Matt’s voice is the one that I would know if I heard it on the radio, he has a unique and fantastic voice. Just hope he gets to pick his own songs from now on!
i like rebecca but that voice coming out of her mouth doesn’t ring true somehow…i’m waiting for her to announce before each performance…”tonight i’m going to be amy winehouse”!!!!
Danni was right to put Matt through. He had a hard song to sing but pulled it off. His other performances were great brilliant. He has been mesmorising and has a lovely personality. I am sure he will gain confidence now, look at the audience and gain that connection that will take him a long way.

Matt is amazing hope he wins. He’s the best singer in the competition none of the other contesdtants stand a chance against him.
