Matt Cardle will make his triumphant return to The X factor stage in less than two weeks time.

The hunky 28 year old – who won the 2010 series of the ITV show – will appear on the first live Sunday results show, on October 9th and give a live performance of his debut single Run For Your Life.

The single will also be released that day and Matt is hoping it will storm the charts, similarly to One Direction’s recent effort ‘What Makes You Beautiful.’

However Cardle has recently confessed that he is extremely nervous about performing on the show, confessing that it will be hard to do the song perfect justice in front of new judge Gary Barlow, the man who penned the track.

The singer confessed he is ‘cr*pping’ himself about his big return, adding:

“Gary wrote that track and I want to sing it with the conviction it deserves.”
