Sharon Osbourne has revealed to Chris Moyles on his Radio One Breakfast show that since she announced her departure from the X Factor, producers have appraoched both Mel B and Cheryl Cole about replacing her as a judge.

Sharon has offered her backing to Girls Aloud member, Cheryl Cole and added that she left the show because she felt it was time to go.

She said: “I loved it. They were the best four years of my life but I’ve got to do something else right now.”
