Former Spice Girl Mel B has admitted that she would love to join the judging panel of the new American X Factor show.

Simon Cowell recently announced that he would be leaving American Idol, in order to launch The X Factor stateside in 2011. He is reportedly trying to convince Cheryl Cole to join him on the show.

Melanie told Closer magazine, “I’d love to be a judge on ‘The X Factor’. I think it’s a great show. I was speaking to Dannii Minogue recently and she told me everyone gets on really well. I’ve also met Cheryl Cole – she’s lovely.”
