Michael Bublé performs ‘Cry Me A River’ on X Factor – Dermot says ‘Thanks for not being weird!’

Grammy Award winner Michael Bublé has been our X Factor guest mentor this week and tonight sang live on the results show special.

Michael performed from his new album ‘Crazy in Love’ – his first album for two and a half years – which has just entered the US charts at number one. He didn’t perform his newest single ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’. Instead he chose the Ella Fitzgerald classic track ‘Cry Me A River.’

On Michael’s performance our writer Gerard McGarry blogged:

As for Buble, no offense readers, but I don’t get this low-rent repackaged Big Band nonsense. It’s been going on since Robbie did Swing When You’re Winning, but it’s musical regurgitation of the worst kind.

You might not have been a fan of the music but surely you were impressed by Dermot O’Leary’s wit. After Buble’s performance. Dermot shook his hand and thanked Michael for being the first international music star he has interviewed, that isn’t weird. A not so discreet dig at Whitney Houston and her craziness last week methinks!
