Mitch Winehouse: ‘Stacey Solomon is NOT The new Amy Winehouse!’

Mitch Winehouse, dad of troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been chatting about the X Factor contestants on his new TV show, ‘Mitch Winehouse’s Showbiz Rant.’
Mitch has admitted that he and Amy watch The X Factor each weekend and were gutted when Rachel Adedeji got knocked out.
He said:
“Amy and I and the family were watching X Factor and when Rachel got knocked out – we thought it was a complete disaster. We were having a lovely dinner – I was having a chicken vindaloo and Amy was having a chicken Korma and we almost choked – almost put us right off our food. Almost but not quite…”
On comparisons being drawn between single mum Stacey Solomon and his daughter, Mitch said:
“Stacey is not the new Amy. She’s not as good”
And on the Grime Twins he exclaimed:
“As for Jedward, if they win it, Simon Cowell and I will leave the country together to set up shop somewhere.”
The whole rant can be viewed in its entirety in Mitch Winehouse’s Showbiz Rant, on LIVING’s new online channel Liv on Thursday 5th November

If I was Stacey I would be quite pleased that I was not like Amy Whinehouse, hardly someone you would look up to and aim to be.
I think Mitch needs to check his hearing out if he thinks Amy has a top notch voice.
It is annoying when comparisons are made because this doesn’t allow wanabe artists to develop the way they want to be.
Don’t get me wrong listening to a cover of a song to get an idea of how its supposed to sound is where the lesson ends. The singer then needs the sheet music and a pianist, to work it out for themselves. The pianist if he or she is a good could exercise there judgement on what they feel sounds good or bad.
