Ne-Yo wants to join X Factor USA but he wants ‘cute’ Cheryl Cole to join him
Cheryl Cole really is the woman of the moment, and it seems that just about everyone wants her back on The X Factor judging panel.
Yesterday we reported that Twilight star Robert Pattinson wanted to see her back with Simon Cowell, delivering her verdict on hopeful singers and now Ne-Yo has gotten in on the act too.
The US star recently revealed that he was in talks with Fox bosses about joining the judges’ table on the American series and speaking to MTV he has revealed that he would love to be joined by Cheryl Cole.
“You know what, I feel that Cheryl Cole has had a great career. She hasn’t had the attention she deserves just yet, but you know, that comes with time, you just got to keep doing what you do, and I definitely feel she knows what she’s doing.”
Ne-Yo is a friend of X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger and assisted her at judges houses last year. However, he now wants to work with the ‘Under The Sun’ hitmaker too and added:
“She’s also REALLY cute! Really, really cute. So if I were to be on X Factor USA, it would make that part of the job that much easier. I’d hug her everyday. Probably one of those really long and awkward hugs, that lasts a little too long..!”
It’s been claimed that even X Factor boss Simon Cowell is desperate to land the Geordie Shore for his UK show and in November 2012 an insider told The Sun that he was holding secret talks with the Girls Aloud singer, telling her to ‘name her price.’
The source said:
“He’s desperate to get Cheryl back on X Factor UK because it’s lost its way.
“The money on the table would be a fortune — at least double what she got last time. She could have what she wanted.”
“He doesn’t want to see X Factor going down the way it is and he thinks Cheryl is the next best thing to him.”
Chez would be replacing Tulisa and the insider added:
“Simon wants to get rid of Tulisa so this meeting will be part and parcel of that.”
