Niall Horan has insisted that he is still single, despite all the recent rumours.

The One Direction star had been linked to X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato in recent weeks, after the pair were spotted enjoying dinner together in LA last week, however he has claimed that his hectic work schedule and constant travelling means that he wouldn’t have the time to date someone, especially a girl who lives in America.

The handsome Irish star told The Mirror:

“Travelling around the world and all the promo that we do – it doesn’t leave time for a girlfriend. It really doesn’t. Demi is really cool and we’re really good friends.”

It’s probably a good thing that he’s not dating Demi, as her new boss did warn her off the ‘pure’ boyband singer last week. She also denied the romance reports, telling E! News :

“There is nothing going on. Niall’s my friend.”

“I’m really happy for One Direction and the success that they’ve had.

“It just goes to show you how crazy this competition is to making stars and the success that they have. He’s a good friend of mine.”

Meanwhile, the new artwork has finally been revealed for One Direction’s new single ‘Live While We’re Young.’

We are loving the new cover, which shows Louis Tomlinson punching his pal Liam Payne gentle, while Harry Styles and Zayn Malik joke with one another. Poor Niall is sitting almost alone, looking pretty pensive and smiling into the distance and we wonder if he’s thinking about Demi….or just when he’s next going to eat?

In more 1D news, it has been confirmed that the boys’ new full length DVD will be released next month, just in time for Christmas.

The documentary is titled ‘One Direction: All For One – an unauthorised biography’ and was made as cameras followed the world’s biggest boyband on their journey to fame and then to achieving global music domination.
