Tonight’s public vote left two of Simon’s acts (Nikitta and Ray) in the bottom two this week.

After the second performances the judges had their say and predictably Sharon sent Nikitta home while Louis went with Ray, leaving Simon to choose between his two acts.

After a bit of deliberation (which was probably put on for the cameras) Simon chose to save Ray and send Nikitta home.

It is a bit of a disappointment, I think Nikitta had just found herself this week and I really believe if given better songs and the chance to develop Nikitta could have been a real contender for the title. But it wasn’t to be, and so seven have become six and Nikitta is on her way home to bonny Scotland.
