More than 50,000 people have signed a petition asking TV regulator, OFCOM to investigate Laura White’s eviction from last weeks X Factor and it looks like they are going to do just that.

People are claiming that last week’s result was fixed in some way and want OFCOM to check if Laura really was in the bottom two acts.

A campaigner told The Daily Star: "People just want to know what happens when they vote and we have a right to know the figures.

"How do we know Laura was even in the bottom two? How many votes did she get? We don’t know.

"They need to come clean. The voters pay the bosses’ wages – they have a right to know."
