The ex-girlfriend of Olly Murs has claimed that he dumped her, after making it through to the final stage of the X Factor.

Keli Flower dated Olly for eight months and even convinced him to audition for X Factor, but in an interview with The Mirror, she says she wishes she hadn’t bothered.

“I went on and on at him to audition because I knew how talented he was.

“But part of me wishes I hadn’t, because if he hadn’t got through, we would still be together.

“Our relationship was just amazing, and I blame the show for it ending. Now I just hope Olly comes to his senses and realises what he is missing. I’d love to have him back.”

She recalled the evening when he broke the news to her.

“We walked along the pebbles for an hour, hand in hand,” she said. “I remember it very clearly.

“He hadn’t been himself on the phone, he had been distant. I was telling him how much I loved him and wanted us to be together. I honestly thought he could be the one.

“But then he just turned round and said he wanted to end it.”

Olly told Keli: “I’m on the verge of being successful and I can’t do it if I have a girlfriend. It wouldn’t be fair to drag you through it all.”

Keli still hasn’t gotten over Olly and she admits that she can’t even watch him on TV each Saturday night.

“One day I will get round to watching it, but at the minute everything is too raw,” she said.
