One Direction 2012: 1D lads close to picking their next single, but deny Justin Bieber collaboration rumours (VIDEO)

There’s great news for One Direction fans today in that the boys have revealed that they are going to be selecting which track – from their forthcoming second album – they’re to release as a single soon.

However, there was also some disappointing news in that 1D band member Louis Tomlinson reckons there’s no truth to the rumour that One Direction and Justin Bieber are going to collaborate on a song.

He told In Demand with Alex James, “There’s actually been no talks between either of us.

“I think it’s a story the press has stirred up.”

However, he added, “We’d like to have [a collaboration] on the album but who knows?”

But getting back to the news that the boys are set to release a new single soon, Niall Horan said, “We actually haven’t picked one [from the new album] yet.”

Louis hastily added, “We’re going to be picking it very soon, very soon.

“There’s two or three… there’s about three songs that are all good contenders.”

I’m sure 1D fans would buy the boys’ album if all it contained was them singing their shopping list!

And for you avid 1D fans, here’s a clip of the boys talking about the forthcoming album. Enjoy :-)
