Katy Perry is a single woman and Niall Horan may just be in with a chance of dating the new movie star if he plays his cards right.

The ‘Part Of Me’ star met the One Direction singers earlier this year and while she enjoyed chatting with all five boys, the brunette beauty admitted in a new interview that she particularly enjoyed getting to know blonde hunk Niall.

Katy – who recently divorced British comedian and actor Russell Brand – told The Sun:

“Niall is just such a sweetheart. I’m a big fan of One Direction.”

Singling the Irish star out again, the ‘Firework’ singer continued to gush:

“They’ve been so sweet to me every time I meet them, they’re like the biggest thing in the world right now. I’m thrilled for the success they’re enjoying and love hanging out with them — Niall is just lovely.“

Meanwhile, Niall has been thanking his fans after they supported the band throughout their recent US tour.

Niall, Zayn, Harry, Louis and Liam completed their first ever headline North American tour yesterday and the handsome singer praised the Directioners for their enthusiasm, tweeting:

At just 18 years old, many would say that 27 year old Katy is too old for Niall, however, when you consider the age of some of Harry Styles’ lady friends over the last year, 27 seems almost babyish!
