Well that didn’t take long did it? Less than 48 hours after he left Twitter in a bit of a sulk, Zayn Malik has reactivated his account.
The One Direction singer closed down his account on Tuesday night, claiming that he was sick of getting sent hateful messages from so called fans, who repeatedly accused him of cheating on his girlfriend Perrie Edwards and of illegal drug taking.
However, it seems that the hunk has calmed down a little, or got a stern talking to from his management team as just minutes ago he made his big Twitter comeback!
He explained his comeback, tweeting his five millions followers saying:
‘Sorry, I was getting some abuse on twitter but I dont want to let my fans down. So I am back!! 🙂 x’
Malik also retweeted some of his fans messages of elation, which said:
‘@zaynmalik we’re so glad that you’re back :)) dont do that again okay :)) we missed you so much !!’
‘@zaynmalik Don’t let them bring you down babe, always remember that there are so many people that love you and care for you xxxxx’
‘@zaynmalik Glad your back!! There is more people out there that love you than hate you’
‘@zaynmalik Don’t let them win ! Us real fans are here don’t forget that. xx ♥’
‘@zaynmalik we’re a family and we will always love you. no matter what x’
‘@zaynmalik omg! Thank you a lot for coming back! We love you so so so much <3 true fans will support you, dont matter what xx’
The singer added:
‘And thanks for all your messages of support. I really do love all you guys, your support never ceases 2 amaze me xxx’
‘Can’t wait to share our big news with you 🙂 x’
Zayn is back online just in time for One Direction’s big announcement, which is due to be released at 1pm today. He is currently in London, recording the music video for the band’s next single, due for release next month.
We can’t work out if Malik was just having a bit of a strop, or if the whole thing was just one big PR stunt designed to generate even more of a buzz, before they announce their news this afternoon.
