Elton John is of course a music legend who’s been in the business for decades, so for newbies to the music biz, if there’s a go to guy, it’s most likely him.

And today, it’s been reported that Elton has some sage words of advice for the boys of One Direction, who are of course relatively new to the whole business that is show.

Speaking to the Sun, Elton said, “If I had to give them [One Direction] advice, I would say keep your original friends, keep good counsel with them.

“Try not to get too carried away with the clubs and all that crap — but it’s very difficult, because I did.”

He added, “The thing is, it was just me. There are five of them together, they have each other to keep strong…

“Niall and Harry have now been in the paper a lot. I feel for them but I’m thrilled for them. They’re also having a great time.

“Enjoy it, for ****’s sake enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy it then there’s no point.”

Well Elton, I think it’s safe to say that are enjoying it, and for proof, the boys have released part two of their behind the scenes in the USA footage where they can be seen hanging out with Katy Perry, as you do.
