One Direction 2012: Fans force Lucy Horobin to quit Twitter and say she’s ‘worse than Caroline Flack’ after Harry Styles affair
Lucy Horobin has become the latest in a long line of women linked to One Direction to quit Twitter.
Last weekend, the 32 year old radio DJ was revealed to have had an affair with young Harry Styles and reports suggested that the cougar had even ruined her marriage for a fling with the curly haired cutie.
There has been no denial from either camp and needless to say, 1D fans are not happy with the older woman.
After being abused online, sent hateful tweets and even some death threats, Lucy has left the micro blogging website.
It was alleged that the brunette beauty became embroiled in a three month affair with the then 17 year old singer, after she interviewed the band about their debut album and single last summer. The chemistry between the pair was said to be immediately obvious to other radio staff and Styles’ bandmates.
It seems that the fling gave Harry a taste for older women, as soon after their split he took up with Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack, who is also 15 years his senior.
The relationship has angered many Directioners, who have been making their thoughts very clear online.

After reading those messages, we can see why Lucy would want to take a Twitter break for a while.
Of course, the DJ isn’t the first lady to leave the social networking site over 1D fans. Model Emma Ostilly closed her account only a few months ago, after she was also linked to Styles and was bombarded by haters.
Caroline rode out the storm though and refused to give into the haters, though we’re sure she was tempted to walk away on some occasions, especially after her death threats.

Ok listen guys, she doesn’t deserve hate,but us directioners DO have a right to get mad I mean come on the lady is 32. That’s pretty gross. But she doesn’t deserve to get frekkin death threats on twitter! Harry can do what ever he wants when ever he wants. And what ever is going on with his life OUTSIDE of his music has nothing to do with us fans. So, to those little hater girls get off his, and that’s woman’s back, it’s just not right >:(

I am 37 yr old woman, got to say seriously…it is up to them who they sleep with. BUT it is only because he is barely 17 that there is sooo much hatred with these young girls. These older women are obviously enjoying the attention from a very attractive young lad. But if he was my son, I would be livid and yes I would be viewing them as paedo’s too. Sad maybe, but what he hell are you going to have in common with a 17 yr old! Harry also needs to learn respect of his fans, and perhaps knock dating older women on the head till he is 21 ish and perhaps these girls which are issuing death threats would of grown up a little.
Do people not think that maybe there could be a chance that Harry simply likes older women and not screaming teens. Perhaps now after several women around 15 years older are known to have had relationships with him his fans will perhaps put two and two together and realise he simply prefers experience to youth
If this would be a 32 year old bloke and a 17 or 18 year old girl nobody would think twice about it. They would probably even concratulate the bloke for being such a stallion… How about the age gap of 13years between Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio?! This is just immature behaviour and jealousy. Get real girls, do you seriously think Harry would fall for you?!
I’m baffled as to what these women see in him. To be honest in my opinion he’s no oil painting, and he could do with a hair cut.
Totally agree with you, I don’t see what so great about him either and i’m a 19 year old girl! I just suppose i’m not one of these crazy fans or clearly dumb older women who think he’s the best thing in the world.
All these apparent fans that keep getting involved with the guy’s love lives is just ridiculous, they can be with who they want and the fans have no right to be angry or get involved, I don’t even like one direction that much but I’m starting to feel sorry for them and their girlfriends because it’s getting to the point where the fans are running their lives.
