As fans of One Direction star Harry Styles will know, last year, he had an affair with married DJ, Lucy Horobin.

It was a relatively short lived relationship, and he reportedly ditched her so that he could date Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack.

However, the damage done to Lucy’s marriage when the affair was revealed has proven to be irreparable, and the Daily Mirror reports that she and husband Oliver Pope are getting divorced.

At the time Lucy’s fling with Harry became public knowledge, Oliver apparently told a friend, “We faced up to the cracks in our marriage and realised we had got lost.

“We opened up, put everything out there, and found our way back. Our marriage is actually stronger…”

However, a friend of Oliver’s said yesterday, “Ollie and Lucy have decided to end their marriage.

“Both of them are deeply saddened their relationship is over but believe they will be better off as friends.

“When Ollie discovered what had happened with Lucy and Harry he tried to forgive and forget.

“Lucy got a lot of flack from Harry fans when the fling was exposed and Ollie was the one who supported her through it.

“But the stress eventually became unbearable.

“Behind closed doors they argued about it and in the end they agreed they’d be better off splitting up.”

During Harry and Lucy’s affair, a friend of hers revealed, “She knows she shouldn’t admit it, but said that the sex was amazing.

“He knew exactly what he was doing despite the fact he was only 17. But it was a mistake.”

A spokesman for Lucy said last night, “Over the past few weeks both Lucy and her husband have agreed to end their marriage and decided to go their separate ways.

“The split has nothing to do with recent speculation and they would request their privacy is maintained through this difficult time.”

Well I think that was inevitable, don’t you?
