One Direction 2012: Harry Styles hits the town again with gay DJ Nick Grimshaw – is Louis Tomlinson bromance over?
Harry Styles was pictured out on the town with his pal Nick Grimshaw once again last night.
The One Direction singer accompanied the openly gay Radio 1 DJ to London nightclub GAY last weekend, where he ended up in a huge food fight with him and Rita Ora and this week he hit the tiles again, this time joining the pair at Mahiki.
The three stars were reportedly celebrating Rita’s album release and gig at the Scala and considering the fact that Harry was spotted picnicking, shopping and having coffee with Nick also over the last week, we think it’s fair to say that the pair have become almost inseparable.
It makes a change from last year, when it was Harry and his bandmate Louis Tomlinson who seemed to live in each other’s pockets. The pair shared an apartment in London and when they weren’t gigging, were often pictured together, enjoying nights out and celebrity events.
However, since Louis has settled down with his long term girlfriend Eleanor Calder and fans began to speculate that perhaps the lads were more than just friends, they have appeared together much less in public, with Louis recently admitting that all the rumours make him act differently towards his former BFF.
He told MTV:
“It is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with as I am in a relationship.”
Tomlinson continued:
“It is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public. We want to joke around, but there seems to be a different rumor every time we do anything.”
Harry has always opted to stay silent on the issue, refusing to confirm or deny reports that he and Louis are dating when asked in interviews. In fact, Harry is very vague about his love life in general and even though he is often linked to different women, he rarely confirms a rumour and only admitted to dating Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack after they had split.
Like Zayn Malik, Styles does seem to be distancing himself from his 1D pals somewhat and it was evident when the band – minus Zayn – all attended V Festival earlier this month.
Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson hung out together, with their girlfriends and a larger group of pals, while Harry stuck close to Grimshaw and his crowd. The pair have frequently played pranks on each other and their friends and one that sticks in our mind occured during an interview in May, when Styles was a guest on Nick’s Radio 1 show and they called up a mutual friend Sam Teasdale.
Unaware that the whole thing was being broadcast live on air, Grimshaw told Sam that he had a crush on Haz but didn’t know how to tell him. He admitted that judging by recent conversations, he thought the feelings may be mutual. Instead of being surprised, Teasdale didn’t seem comfortable with the conversation and told Nick that he should probably speak to her sister and Harry’s close friend and stylist Lou.
So perhaps Harry and Nick are in a relationship, or then again, maybe they’re just pals. After all Mahiki did tweet last night, revealing that Styles’ reported love interest Cara Delevigne was also in the club.
Whatever the status of their relationship, it seems that Haz may have replaced Louis in his affections, or maybe he’s just sick of competing with Eleanor for attention…

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head and well done for not subscribing to the lazy “Harry is a womaniser” script. There is something rather suspect going on between Harry and Nick – they seem to spend ALL their spare time together (which mostly goes unreported) and we know from how close, intense and possessive he was with Louis that Harry most likely swings both ways. I think, as happened with Louis, that this is a bromance-turned-romance

I am a one direction fan, so i would not care if he is gay, neither would millions of his fans mind, me being gay myself i know its a hard process of “self-discovery”.

” is Louis Tomlinson bromance over?” Saying things like this also does not help this, When they was doing a twit cam yesterday(30th August) and Niall told them (louis and harry) to hug, i knew, that was the most awkward hug ever, they don’t want to do it too much because management would, most likely moan at them. These fan-fictions of Harry and other band mates, mainly Louis, dating is only making harry’s situation worse, these things are pretty emotion, and on an MTV Music (i think) interview in Canada they said they have read/heard them, this can not help what (if anything) harry is going though.
At then end of the day we need to remember he his only 18 (he would have only just finished his A level this year) and his massive worldwide popularity might be affecting his choices, he might think(if he does) that management would make him hid it, if he was to come-out or hes worried what, Liam, Louis, Niall or Zayn would do and also what his fans would do (would they accept him or hate him)
Clearly with whats going on with One Direction, LWWY, Take me Home, 2013 tour, MTV awards, Radio 1 Teen awards, and everything else in their calender for the next few years and the press and his fans taking pircutres of him every second and them 24/7 judging him for what ever he does, you could say he has had to grow up fast, and miss part of this important time for him. i/we/the world can see Harry does not have the time to think about his personal feelings, so maybe a year off would benefit him/them in order for him to find him self and be sure if he is straight, gay or even bi.
Clearly some fans are not going to like this, but i sort of know what he is going through(if anything) i went thought it myself (without the international success) but i went through it much early and its hard , but i dont care if they dont like it. This is my personal experance and opinion
Harry and Nick have been “together” since at least Oct 2011, maybe even before. Caroline Flack was a cover story. Harry has spent lots of time with Nick in the last year. Who knows in what capacity?
I don’t think the issue is Harry’s sexuality. I think it’s more a concern that a boy is growing into a man and hoping that he stays true to himself despite his fame and those people trying to use him because of his fame. I thought his living with Louis was the best thing ever since Louis seems to have a good head on his shoulders and was actively doing his best to nurture Harry whatever else their relationship is/was. You wonder what guidance Harry’s mom/parents are providing. Just because 18 makes you a legal adults doesn’t mean you should be left to your own devices.
Research some of the tweets sent from Nick and his friends about Harry. What do you think about them sending out questionable tweets about an 18 year old?
Would you want them influencing your 18 year old? I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point they publish embarrassing videos of him when they no longer want him hanging around or he drops them.
Harry seems to have an exhibitionist, submissive personality which lends itself to others that he may want to give power to easily influencing him. What I appreciated about his relationship with Louis is that Louis seemed to want him to be his own person and did not seem to take advantage of that.
I assume there is going to be an announcement of some kind soon. Something is in the works to make it even more obvious Harry is with Nick in some capacity since they have been been together 24/7 for the last 7-10 days with lots of HD photos. Harry has even been going to work with him. Doesn’t Harry have ANY hobbies besides trailing after Nick even if they are together? I am thinking that some deals have been struck to keep the story from going viral until a certain date.
I think there’s probably more going on then the public will ever know. What’s the status with Louis? There’s more there than meets the eye. People report that Lou has a key tattoo to go with the padlock tattoo Harry got earlier this month.
What changed so drastically in the last two weeks that Harry basically started living with Nick? Where does Harry live anyway? What about Nick’s longterm boyfriend? Why can’t Louis and Harry be seen publicily as friends (Bromies) since they deny any romance? Lots of celebrities have gone through this and just do whatever they want, including kissing, hugging, vacationing together–Jared/Jensen,Lil Wayne/Baby, Kanye West/Jay-Z, Dwayne Wade/Lebron James/Chris Bosh,Justin Bieber/Jaden Smith, Chance Crawford/Ed Westwick,Mcfly guys,etc. How does Ed Sheeran fit into the mix? Why would Harry having a romance with Louis be so bad?
18 year old Harry does seem to be getting around. It seems very complicated!!! I also think no matter what we learn that there is something HUGE being covered up beyond whom Harry Styles is dating. Harry seems to be a affable person who is open to all people, young and old, man or woman. I hope his management remembers that he is very young and may need protection from the big, bad wolves who may be stalking him.
Harry seems to be willing to do anything to be part of the hispter/want to be famous set. I hope he understands that focusing on his work and trying to continue to grow as an artist with the rest of 1D is a much better way to accomplish that goal than hanging out with older people trying to be famous in clubs every night. He has met lots of famous people–way more famous than the people he hanging with, why isn’t he/his management setting up meetings, lunches with them, instead of the D-lister set?
i think thats the whole point, since it was management that intervened with “Larry” , i would not care if Harry and Louis had a bromance, and i dont think the fans would. It would probably make the band stronger, since they would be true to them selves . I liked the bromance of Louis and Harry, it gave the fans something to talk about, instead of saying horrible comments about them, and it made there interviews fun. I dont know whats going on with them (i dought we ever will) but lets hope they can get back to how they was before management stepped in.
I wanted to add. It’s obvious that the band supports each other. I don’t think that they would want another member to not be themselves and would support each other regardless if it cost them fans/money. Did you SEE the twitcam yesterday?
i know, it just was not right. Harry just looked so sad , and his reaction after Louis “hugged” him, was just, umm i dont even know how to describe it! They clearly new they could not do it, so instead Louis just did it like it was the first time they had meet.

All the people coming here and insinuating Nick is a bad influence etc are fans of “Larry” which has become so tiresome. Louis is now settled with Eleanor and he cannot give Harry the attention he needs. Harry is like a puppy – he doesn’t thrive well on his own without someone older to look after him. He got that for a time with Louis but now Nick has taken on that role.
There’s really no chance of Harry settling with an 18 year old student the way Louis has. Both lads are very different. And it is not true that Louis got a key tattoo – the person who posted that gave herself/himself away as a hardcore Larry shipper as this is one of their numerous inventions/fantasies to “prove” Larry is a romance. And no-one in Nick’s friendship group has never tweeted anything questionable to or about Harry – what a load of bollocks! Many of them are in their early 20s anyway so not much older than Harry.
Ps: Nick has no longterm boyfriend and has always stated that he is single ever since I started following his career since 2008. Why do these Larry shippers lie to support their ship??

I think the post was a true-felt concern. It went out of the way say that friendship and support was the focus and not sexuality or any kind was not the focus. Who really cares anyway? Calling Harry a pet was the direct point.
And I have to agree that boozing nightly and having a tweet posted of a “Star” in his pants over the loo seems to be associated with a bad influence.
I read the post to say friendship with Louis and not caring about Larry. Also, Nick may be a great role model, however for a 17/18 boy to spend 24/7 with the D-lister older set, seems a bit off. I can tell you that Harry’s 16 year old education does not equip him to hang with people 5 years older. Big differences in 5 and 10 years. He should be protected, can you say – Michael Jackson?

Way to fight for your follow. I would say I do not agree with speculations on relationships. However, Harry did slip??? in an interview about getting his car and his ___ friend bringing it to him. He was with Nick at the pub that day wearing the blue check matching shirts while sitting on Nicks lap.
Although, I guess the point could be that Nick does not consider Harry that way.
As for tatoos? hurt foot? who know? Sharpie? Pen? anything can be construed.

Nice they can bank on their friendship. Nick getting his new show where Harry is a permanent guest, driver, and promoted by Harry with a photoshoot. In return, Harry gets Nick as a mentor who takes him drinking nightly at all the Best Clubs.
