One Direction are surrounded everywhere they go by crowds of screaming girls and it seems that they are getting a little fed up with it all.

Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson have had to hire extra security staff this week, as they try to keep the desperate screamers at bay as they tour Canada and in a recent interview admitted that they wish they could spend more time with other men.

The X Factor stars would love to increase their male fanbase and Niall Horan told Fresh FM:

“Boy fans? Yeah we wanna see more of them. That’s what we aim to do.

“When we see them in the crowd we’re like ‘Yeah this is cool’, ya know. Obviously we’re 90% girls, but we wanna try and expand.”

However, one girl that the lads aren’t fed up with yet is Louis’ girlfriend Eleanor Calder.

The brunette beauty joined the band in Canada this week and is said to be spending a huge amount of time travelling with 1D on their tour bus. She brings them Taco Bell meals after concerts and is said to mother the teen sensations, causing her to be accepted as the unofficial sixth member.

The Mirror reports that Eleanor is very popular with her boyfriends’ pals, as well as with her 500,000 or so Twitter followers who she interacts with on a daily basis.
