One Direction 2012: Harry Styles to play Mick Jagger in new movie? Well that explains his solo LA visit!
Harry Styles is reportedly in talks with Hollywood movie bosses about taking on the role of Mick Jagger in a new film about his life.
Insiders say the One Direction singer is currently the favourite person in the running for the part of the Rolling Stones star, after he met with producers and casting agents recently.
Sources have told The Mirror that he will formally audition for the movie, when 1D return to America later this month, as they kick off their first ever US headline tour.
It is reported that the film will be called ‘Exile On Main St’ after Rolling Stones’ classic 1972 album.
Mick Jagger had legions of teenage fans when he was at the height of his fame and producers are said to be sure that Styles will have the same captivating aura as the rock singer had back in his day. His long and unruly locks won’t hurt his efforts to land the role either.
Our source said: “Harry on stage can pass as a dead ringer for Jagger.
“If he can transform this image into a movie role then he’s going to be a serious candidate to get the part. The signs so far are good.”
Meanwhile, Harry’s mum has admitted that her teenage son is a stickler for looking smart and presentable when he goes out in public.
Anne Cox revealed that he has a bit of an obsession with clothes and jewelry and told Now magazine:
‘He likes to be smart, he’s quite old school, likes ties and jackets and nice shoes.’
‘For his birthday I bought him a Thomas Sabo bracelet. He also wears a Believe In Magic wristband virtually all the time.’
He may be careful about his appearance, but as we recently reported Harry is not so fussed about his room or his living quarters, as his mum admitted that he would live in squalor most of the time, if he didn’t have people picking up after him.
One Direction are currently in Sweden, recording their second album. Once finished with their European work, they will jet off to the US for their next series of sold out concerts.

To be quite honest, I hope he doesn’t do it. That would throw off the group dynamic and cause him to lose focus on music.
