One Direction 2012: Holly Scally says the X Factor and Simon Cowell ruined her relationship with Niall Horan!
Holly Scally has blamed The X Factor on her breakup from Niall Horan.
The pretty 16 year old dated the Irish singer for nine months and was his girlfriend when he auditioned for the ITV show and during the early stages of his time on the series.
Niall originally tried out as a solo singer, however Simon Cowell asked him to join Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik in a boyband and according to Holly, it was all downhill for her romance from that moment on.
Once Niall made past judges houses and onto the live shows he moved to England to get to know his new bandmates and then they all relocated down to London, where they lived while competing on the series.
This distance took a toll on Horan’s relationship with Holly, who was used to seeing him on a daily basis.
She told Now magazine:
’We were apart for four weeks, which felt really long because we used to see each other all the time.
‘One day Niall called and said: “I think we should finish because I never see you.”
Scally played it cool and tried not to get too upset. She revealed:
‘I said: “Yeah, I know. I understand. So it’s cool.”
Typically, soft hearted Niall felt bad about leaving Holly behind and she added:
‘I think he felt bad because he kept saying: “I’m so sorry.” I tried to sound like it was no big deal but it was a bit sad for me.
‘I liked him more than I’d let on. I missed him but we still talked on Skype and we met up whenever he was back.’
Aww poor Holly, poor Niall….big bad Simon Cowell.
However, if Niall hadn’t auditioned for The X Factor and taken that fateful trip to London, he wouldn’t now be a world famous star and a multimillionaire…..every cloud has a silver lining and all that!
The hunky crooner seems to be enjoying his American tour, which ends later this month and he tweeted his fans last night, saying:
‘having a sick night with @zaynmalik @louis_tomlinson @stanley_lucas ,alberto @paulyhiggins , #tuuuneeeesss’
The band is all set to perform in San Jose tonight.

I kind of feel bad for Holly but she has to understand that becoming a professional singer was Niall’s dream and he finally made it.I know it must have been hard for her,but if she really loves him she should be happy for him and not say that Simon or X Factor ruined her relationship.Everything happens for a reason if it is for better or worst,so I think they should continue living their lives the way they do.She still gets to see him now and then so she should be happy
