It’s been reported today that One Direction singer Liam Payne and former X Factor winner Leona Lewis – who have of course been rumoured to be an item for weeks now – will be spending Christmas together in California.

Apparently, Liam is set to be in New York in the run up to the festive period, while Leona will be in the UK, but he’s reportedly so desperate to spend the holiday with her, he’s booked and paid for her flights to a love next in Los Angeles where they plan to soak up some winter sun on a precious few days off.

A source said to be close to the couple told The Sun, “Leona and Liam only starting seeing each other recently.

“But because of work, they won’t be together for a while now…

“They thought this was a nice thing to look forward to.”

Indeed it is, and speaking of things to look forward to, it would appear that pop star Justin Bieber couldn’t wait to get his new tattoo…

He apparently excitedly tweeted a message to his followers about getting the new body art, then later, he posted a picture of the new ink, which is of an owl.

Justin – who’s currently gigging around the States on his Believe tour – tweeted the symbolic meaning of an owl.

The message read, “OWL symbolizes: Wise, Majestic and Powerful. Best tattoo ever @justinbieber.”

The Sun adds, “The 18-year-old already has eight tattoos, including the word Jesus on the left side of his torso, Believe on his forearm, praying hands on his legs and the image of Christ on his left calf.”

He also has a seagull tattooed on his hip, which he got for his 16th birthday.

However, though he’s apparently quite obsessed with winged things, he’s not a big fan of flying!

He recently revealed that he has panic attacks when he has to board a jet, which of course, is a frequent occurrence.

He said, “I just started to really not like getting on a flight. It scares me. When I get anxiety, my heart drops and starts beating really fast as if it’s going to explode…

“People say you have more chance of getting into a car accident than a plane crash, but they do maybe one flight a year and I’m on planes all the time.

“And all the time I’m thinking I have no control. If this plane crashed I’m dead.

“I feel like every time I get on a plane I’m risking my life.”
