Liam Payne has taken to Twitter to set the record straight….again!

The One Direction singer had been splashed across the pages of a newspaper once more earlier today, with The Sun claiming that he was desperate to settle down and was already planning his wedding to girlfriend Danielle Peazer.

The star may only be 18 years old but so called insiders reportedly told the publication that when he attended JLS’ Marvin Humes’ wedding to Rochelle Wiseman last week, the Wolverhampton lad hinted that he would be the next one up the aisle.

The newspaper also claimed that Liam was keen to start a family and had revealed to his bandmates that he wanted to be a ‘young dad. You can read the full article here.

However the 1D singer has insisted that the entire story was fabricated and told his followers that he is not planning to get married any time soon.

He tweeted:

‘I’m not getting married the sun newspaper can’t seem to wait for me to get married Gordon no need to rush wen I am I’ll send u an invite ’

We think we just heard about a million sighs of relief just then, this news is sure to please Directioners all around the world.

Many of you commented on our earlier report that Payne was considering settling down and the majority weren’t too happy about the possibility. One fan wrote:

‘Im kinda heart broken and my two friends whp r absoulutly and irovocably in love with him will die of a broken heart will be terribaly upset but wat ever makes him happy then im up for as long as its not niall im cool’

Another added:

‘NO NO NO!!!
Okay,i think danielle and liam are perfect for each other and should get married and all…but I DO NOT WANT LIAM HAVING KIDS THIS EARLY, there’s alot more to think about,like one direction won’t last as long if the boys decide to settle down’

A third supporter explained:

‘I love Liam and Danielle but I think it is much too early to be thinking about this considering a tour and everything, I just think that excitement got the best of him and he would regret it if it happened too early. 2014 he will be 21 so that’s a bit of a jump heh? He can do whatever he wants but I still see him as the 16-year old scratch that 14-year old boy from X-Factor…’
