Liam Payne has gotten Directioners all around the world in a bit of a tizzy tonight after tweeted a very mysterious message this afternoon.

The One Direction star promised fans that the band would have some very big ‘news’ to share with them very soon – this week soon!

After spending the last few days working hard on photoshoots for album covers and various other promo work, Liam took some time from his busy schedule to tell his followers:

‘guys, can’t wait to let u all know the news. Only a few dayssss to wait’

Zayn Malik got in on the act too and said:

‘just got some cool news for you guys!! x’

We think the news will be a release date for the boys next single. They have previously hinted that the first single from their second album will be released in September, with the album following before Christmas.

Just think, a new 1D tune in a matter of weeks……we actually cannot wait!

But all the work in the studio seems to be taking it’s toll on poor old Niall Horan.

The Irish star had an early start this morning, though he was held up by a very late and disorganised Zayn Malik and tweeted fans this evening saying:

‘soo tired! watchin the football…gona head t bed after it ! been a busy couple of days doin photoshoots!!’

Meanwhile, despite all the work Harry Styles is still looking mighty fine! The singer has been burning the candle at both ends, working hard during the week but living it up at the weekend and it’s been claimed that he got barely any sleep when he attended the V Festival on Saturday and Sunday.

However he looks very fresh faced in the photo that was posted by the official 1D Twitter account tonight. It had the caption:

‘Harry busy in the booth!’
