Liam Payne really is the daddy of One Direction.

The handsome singer ha to cope with the same pressures and strains as the rest of the band, however he recently admitted that he does worry about his bandmates, one in particular, when it comes to dealing with the downside of fame.

Liam is particularly concerned about his pal Zayn Maik, who has had a really tough time on Twitter recebtly and even closed down his account for a few days last month because of the hate and the rumours.

Zayn’s sister claimed he was the victim of racist comments and also revealed that claims he was cheating on his girlfriend Perrie Edwards also got to her brother. Malik did later return to the micro bloggng website and has seemed more settled ever since, but Liam still worries about how he copes with the pressures of being in the spotlight 24 / 7.

Payne told The Sun:

“We’ve had such a good laugh together and achieved so much together. We’re definitely like brothers.

“The only person I really worry about is Zayn, because I don’t think he’s quite accustomed to all of this. He had a terrible time on Twitter… I don’t think he’s quite adjusted to it yet. I’m sure he’ll get it. He’s my best mate. I’ve got to look out for him.”

Liam also finally confirmed that he has split from his long term girlfriend Danielle Peazer.

It was reported last week that she walked away from the relationship, because she was finding it hard to cope with him constantly travelling and the Twitter abuse she received on a daily basis. Insiders claimed she was seen moving out of his London apartment almost a week ago but until now, both parties have remained tight lipped about the rumours.

Liam has finally admitted that he’s single again and told the newspaper:

“Danielle is great. I really hope we can still be friends.”

He praised his ex, saying that she was never after him for his money or fame and explained:

“She really isn’t fussed by money or fame.”

“She was talking about dyeing her hair blonde and I said she should. She said she couldn’t afford it – which was mad. She would even ask me for the money for that.”
