The parents of One Direction boys Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne are understandably super proud of their sons, who’ve shot to global fame since they were put together by The X Factor…

And today, while speaking to Express and Star, Liam’s dad Geoff has revealed that no matter how rich and famous his son is, he likes nothing more than coming home to Wolverhampton to have dinner out with his family and indulge in a spot of bowling.

Liam – who was spotted house hunting in London recently – made the trip back home last weekend to visit his folks at their house in Bushbury, and Geoff said of his visit, “Liam popped home for about 48 hours last weekend. He came up on the Saturday and went back on the Monday.

“We went for a carvery at the Cross Guns. A waiter commented on how much Liam looked like Liam Payne from One Direction…

“When he told him he was Liam, the guy brought about six members of female staff over.

“They all wanted to meet my son. It was great.”

Liam and his family later enjoyed a curry and a night out at Strykers bowling alley.

Geoff added, “Liam likes to get back home. He likes to get back to normality.”

But of course, visits home are often fraught with stress for the lads, as was demonstrated when Harry went home last weekend only to find himself mobbed by fans outside his parents’ home.
